Getting the ferry to Dunk Island
The Dunk Island Group has launched the official Dunk Island Ferry – the next step in revitalising the island for locals and tourists alike.
The 42-seater catamaran departs from Clump Point Jetty at Mission Beach twice daily, Wednesday to Sunday, with crossings timed for both day visitors and overnight guests. It’s now the easiest way to reach the island.
The ride takes around 10 minutes. Step aboard, settle in and watch the mainland fade as the island comes into view.

Ferry tickets start from $41 per person.
Family discount: Book 2 adults + 2 children and receive 10% off.

Day visitors can head across on the morning ferry and return on the 3:30pm service. Overnight guests typically take the 12:30pm crossing (check-in from 12:30pm) and return on the 10:30am ferry (check-out by 10am).
Dunk Island Ferry Shuttle
A free shuttle bus connects Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach and South Mission Beach directly to Clump Point Boat Ramp. Pickup times are matched to ferry departures, so you can travel without worrying about parking or logistics.
They encourage guests to leave the car behind. It reduces congestion at the jetty, frees up limited parking for those who need it, and means your holiday starts the moment you step on the bus.

The shuttle returns guests to their original pickup point after the return ferry crossing.
The Dunk Island ferry shuttle is provided by Mission Link and included in your ferry fare at no extra cost.
Secure Parking for Overnight Guests
Staying overnight on Dunk Island? Secure parking is available at Hideaway Holiday Village (58-60 Porter Promenade, Mission Beach) for $10 per night, payable direct to the Holiday Village on arrival.
When booking your ferry, select Hideaway Holiday Village as your shuttle pickup point and your car will be waiting when you return.
