Weather Update: Planned Closure Days

On review of the ongoing weather conditions and current warnings, the Dunk Island Group is extending there closure for this week through to Sunday 11 January.
They look forward to welcoming you back to Dunk Island when we re-open on Thursday 15 January (weather permitting).
If you’re planning a trip to Dunk Island in early January, please note that the Beach Club has announced temporary closures due to wet and unpredictable weather conditions.

The Dunk Island Beach Club will be closed on the following days:

Why the Closures?
Far North Queensland is currently experiencing wet season conditions, which can bring heavy rain, strong winds, and unpredictable weather. The Dunk Island Group has made the decision to close on these days to ensure the safety of both visitors and staff.
As the operators have stated: “Your safety (and our team’s) always comes first.”

Ferry Cancellations
When the Beach Club closes due to weather, ferry services are also likely to be affected. Strong winds and rough seas can make crossings unsafe. Always confirm with your ferry operator before travelling to Clump Point.
